Why It’s the Summer Tournament for the Belgians

The First Edition in 2025: A Story Already Written

In 2025, during the first edition of Europe Smash, Adrien Rassenfosse delivered the best
performance of his career. He defeated, in succession, Apolonia, Robles, Pitchford, and—most notably—Liang Jingkun, then ranked 5th in the worl, by a score of 11-5, 12-10, 11-6 without losing a single set. These performances propelled him into the world’s top 60.

In 2026: Rassenfosse arrives with more experience.

For the 2026 edition, Rassenfosse arrives with even more under his belt: he is now a three-time Belgian singles champion (2023, 2025, and 2026), ranked 52nd in the world, and a winner on the international circuit (WTT Feeder Düsseldorf, WTT Feeder Cappadocia with Allegro).
He is familiar with the Grand Smash stage and knows what needs to be done.
